Giriulla Chess Club, founded in December 2019 and affiliated with the Kurunegala District Chess Association, is dedicated to promoting chess in the region. The club has produced players who have excelled at district, provincial and national levels, and regularly compete in FIDE-rated and school tournaments.
Beyond competitions the club is an academy offering structured training for beginners to advanced players under experienced coaches. For us chess is more than a game — it is a path to education, personal growth and community building.
